Job Title: Biomedical Scientist Band 5 & Band 6

Medical Professional Personnel is currently looking for Biomedical Scientists Band 5 and Band 6 to work for busiest London hospitals.
To work as a Biomedical Scientist you need to be registered with HPC (Health Professions Council) and have BSc (hons) or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science. Good organisational, technical and analytical skills are essential together with good communication and interpersonal skills.
As a biomedical scientist you will carry out laboratory tests and provide your support in a variety of laboratory areas such as: medical microbiology, clinical chemistry, transfusion science, haematology, histopathology, cytology, immunology and virology.
Key Accountabilities:
testing human samples for various chemical constituents;
analyzing cultures grown from samples;
identifying blood groups;
working with computers,
automated equipment, microscopes and other hi-tech laboratory equipment;
communicating the results of tests to medical staff;
monitoring the effects of medication and other programmes of treatment by carrying out further tests;
keeping records and writing reports; production of laboratory documentation.
